Little Tikes Cozy Coupe 30th Anniversary Car Reviews

My parents bought this for my son, who admittedly does love it. But the thing is a nightmare to put together (especially the six red caps that go over the exposed metal rods). And has been pointed out, the instructions are worthless.
And no sooner did I get it together, one of the red caps broke, leaving an exposed metal rod that he could get hurt on.
So I went online and filled out the form to get a replacement of what has to be a thirty cent item. And although this is the 30TH ANNIVERSARY COUPE that only came out THIS YEAR, I was told I’d need to provide proof of purchase to show that it was purchased this year just to get a replacement for a badly designed part that is there to ensure safety.
I’m sorely tempted to return this car, and to avoid Little Tikes products until they improve their customer service.
Edit:
My parents insisted on keeping the car, and although we found the receipt & emailed it to them per their instructions to get a replacement part, they’ve yet to send it. My parents still like it, but from my perspective the quality is lacking & their customer service sucks.

This car comes in about 50 parts with poor directions. It was a beast for my husband to put together! It tips easily. In the back there is a “handle” big enough for one hand, making it difficult to push around. My son likes the concept of a car, but I’m certain there are better options available.

Cars (Full Screen Edition)
From the acclaimed creators of TOY STORY, THE INCREDIBLES, and FINDING NEMO comes a high-octane adventure comedy that shows life is about the journey, not the finish line. Hotshot rookie race car Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is living life in the fast lane until he hits a detour on his way to the most important race of his life. Stranded in Radiator Springs, a forgotten town on the old Route 66, he meets Sally, Mater, Doc Hudson (Paul Newman), and a variety of quirky characters who help him discover that there’s more to life than trophies and fame. Revved up with a sensational soundtrack, featuring Rascal Flatts, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, James Taylor, and others, plus exciting bonus features, including the exclusive short movie “Mater And The Ghostlight,” CARS is full of freewheeling fun for everyone. There’s an extra coat of hot wax on Pixar’s vibrant, NASCAR-influenced comedy about a world populated entirely by cars. Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) is the slick rookie taking the Piston Cup series by storm when the last race of the season (the film’s high-octane opening) ends in a three-way tie. On the way to the tie-breaker race in California, Lightning loses his way off Route 66 in the Southwest desert and is taught to stop and smell the roses by the forgotten citizens of Radiator Springs. It’s odd to have such a slim story from the whizzes of Pixar, and the film pales a bit from their other films (though can that be a fair comparison?). Nonetheless, Cars is another gleaming ride with Pixar founder John Lasseter, who’s directing for the first time since Toy Story 2. There’s the usual spectrum of excellent characters teamed with appropriate voice talent, loads of smooth humor for kids and parents alike, knockout visuals, and a colorful

Sassy Pop N Push Car Reviews

This is a very simple toy for a crawling infant to use. No parts, no blocks, no switches, just push it and watch the balls pop. Sometimes that’s all they want — no bells and whistles.

I bought this for my granddaughter who’s eight months. Even she can do this. It’s actually a pull-back toy – pull the car back, and let it go…and the little balls pop around. It’s so cute…I like it too! Sturdy and small for little hands.
This reminds me of a toy made by a certain maker years ago (don’t know if I can mention their name legally or not so I just won’t) that was on a long stick and you walked behind it and it had bigger balls inside that popped…like a popcorn maker!
Cute toy, highly recommend.

Toysmith Battat Ready Set Go Cars Toy Reviews

I have this fun set in my infant/toddler classroom. The kids love them (and so do the teachers). The kids have a great time cranking them back and letting them zoom arond the room. (They travel over smooth and carpeted surfaces, unlike other toy vehicles.) This is one set of toys that don’t get put in the closet, they stay on the shelves all year round!

My son got these cars for his first Christmas when he was 6months old. He is now 18 months and still plays with these cars a lot. In fact, he and his older brother (4) have races with the cars. They are soft, durable and propel themselves. They are also just the right size – small enough to hold but big enough not to be a choking hazard. I have given these cars as gifts and would do so again in the future.

Boss BV9990 7-Inch In-Dash Motorized Widescreen Touchscreen TFT Monitor/DVD/MP3/CD Combo Receiver Reviews

I purchased it last month, and had installed immediately. I have not upgraded my factory speakers, but the increase in sound quality was immediately noticible. The touch screen has the appropriate sensativity in my opinion. The quality of the dvd picture is EXCELLENT. Looks no different than a smaller version of my 50 inch Samsung Plasma. Tom Tom plugs easily into the port and displays perfectly. Has a hook up for a rear back up camera, that can be activated by a simple touch of the screen. Cd player works excellently. Plays multimedia, so hook up any device you can think of, and dj from the passenger seat. Those who are intending to purchase must realize the the screen flips upward. Be cautious of what it may block in the process. If you have vents above your deck area, I would advise you to choose another radio. I bought it for a 2001 Dodge Conversion Van, and the only issue I have is the gearshift, which I must pull toward myself, to allow the screen to go up without being blocked. DVD player has a block that does not allow it to play while car is in gear, but I hear that there is a way around it (wink wink), but try not to allow it to distract the driver. I also purchased a 20 inch Fold down Pyle TV, which is connected to my radio, so I can show the dvd’s there, and fold down the screen in the front so the driver is not disturbed. I hope this review is helpful to you all, and I wish you all a happy, fruitful, and blessed New Year. Godspeed.

After installing this in-dash I am more than pleased with it’s performance! It would have gotten 5 star’s but navigation is a bit complicated. Once you figure it out then it’s no problem, The screen looks amazing and it really surprised me how easy it installed. In order to do a clean install you will need the Install-kit, wire harness, and Antenna adapter. I bought all of what I needed on Amazon for cheep!

The Car Reviews

I love the 1977 film “The Car” for a number of reasons. One of which, I suppose, was that I first saw this “B” horror flick at the neighborhood theater as a child. Yes, it scared me then and makes me smile now. “The Car” is so extravangantly cheesy as to be almost surreal. To really understand the greatness of “The Car,” one must compare it to John Carpenter’s “Christine,” another haunted car film based on one of Stephen King’s weakest novels. I’ve seen “Christine” once and really don’t care to view it again. I’ve seen “The Car” many times and will watch it every chance I get.Accurately noted by several reviewers, “The Car” is really “Jaws” on land. This souped up automobile is a sleek black Lincoln possessing a fog horn and a bumper the size of Wilford Brimley’s mustache. It runs over bikers, hitchhikers and tuba players with hungry ease, tormenting the local yokel police force with demonic glee. The cast is the key here, with small town policemen James Brolin, John Marley and Ronnie Cox joining forces with dynamite expert R.G. Armstrong to corner The Car and blow it kingdom come. These actors have been around the block a few times in films far better than “The Car,” but their experienced presence adds a note (albeit a small one) of respectability to the precedings. But before this salty crew goes after the metallic Beezlebub beast, The Car must terrorize a high school band, Brolin’s hometown squeeze Kathleen Lloyd (whatever happened to her?) and several unlucky travelers in the wrong place at the wrong time. Needless-to-say, car insurance companies were left mightily frustrated after The Car paid a visit to Santa Ynaz.I don’t know why The Car likes to drive in the desert, just as I don’t know why it seems to have a crush on James Brolin, teasing him unmercifully while slowly picking off his crew one by one. I do know that the car chases in this film are tremendously exciting. The direction and editing is crisp. Leonard Rosenman’s musical score is above average. And the final confrontation, while laughable in its epic excess, is memorable.”The Car” is a fun movie, glorious in a “B” movie comic book kind of way. It’s “Creature From the Black Lagoon,” “The Omen,” “Jaws” and “Smokey and the Bandit” all rolled into one hilariously transcendent package. It is celluloid pulp fiction, with the nutritional value of a whopper and fries. Please grill the onions.

This is a great little supernatural film and a must for fans of the 70′s TV movies or B movie suspense thrillers.
Great cinematography, superb score and another EXCELLENT car designed by the George Barris, King of the Customizers and the man who brought you the General Lee, the 60′s Batmobile, the Munsters car and Starsky and Hutch’s Torino.
Because the photographer makes full use of the 2:35 widescreen in all shots, this one is a must for widescreen – don’t settle for the fullframe copies that are circulating or you will definately miss one of the most redeeming aspects of this film!!
Only mistake I saw was that they really should’ve given a bigger part to the Native American Deputy as there was alot he could have added to the story.
The sound of The Car when the motors running and the horn honking terror seal the deal on this well made flick. Get it on DVD now……..

Melissa & Doug Car Carrier Reviews

We recently gave this to a friend’s little boy for his 2nd birthday – he and all the other boys at the party played with it constantly! It says ages 3+ on the package, but the only small parts are the wheels, which seem well-attached. My 3 year old son liked the toy too, but the 2 year old boys spent far more time playing with it. The top rack slides down so the cars can all drive off the car carrier. I was impressed at how well-made the toy is and I came on today to buy another one to put away as a Christmas gift for my 1.5 year old.

My grandsons love this toy – one is 3 years and the other is 2. I’m ordering another so they don’t have to share. They love moving the carrier rack up and down and driving the cars off. They ‘drive’ the truck off around the furniture legs and come back for the cars to load them back up. This toy encourages language development as we talk about where the truck is going and where the cars will be parked, what color car should go where, etc. Great for imaginative play.

There’s the usual spectrum of excellent characters teamed with appropriate voice talent, loads of smooth humor for kids and parents alike, knockout visuals, and a colorful array of sidekicks, including a scene-stealing baby blue forklift named Guido. Lightning’s plight is changed with the help of former big-city lawyer Sally Carrera (Pixar veteran Bonnie Hunt), the town’s patriarch Doc Hudson (Paul Newman), and kooky tow truck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy). The Incredibles was the first Pixar film to break the 100-minute barrier, but had enough story not to suffer; Cars, at 116 minutes (including some must-see end credit footage), is not as fortunate, plus it never pierces the heart. Trivia fans should have bonanza with the frame-by-frame DVD function; the movie is stuffed with in-jokes, some appearing only for an instant. Ages 5 and up. –Doug Thomas

Cars [Blu-ray] Reviews

When Cars first came out on DVD, I was a little disappointed because there weren’t very many extras on it. I didn’t understand why Pixar would take one of their most popular films and give it such a mediocre treatment. Well…..now that I have the Blu-ray version of this film, I think I know why. They were saving it all for Cars debut on hi-def. This has to be the best looking picture I have seen yet on a hi-def title. I looks almost like the entire film is in 3-D!!! I managed to catch part of this movie on a hi-def cable channel and thought I would compare the two pictures. After a little fiddling, I managed to get both screens at the exact same frame, and was blown away at how much clearer the Blu-ray picture is. The Cine-Explore feature on this is the best special feature I’ve seen on a hi-def title. It is almost sensory overload at the amount of material that continuously pops up across the screen while the film is playing. This disc will be the one I will pop in to show my friends what Blu-ray is capable of doing. Every Blu-ray owner needs to get this title. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

After seeing so many children’s movies with animals lately (Hoodwinked, Over the Hedge, Ice Age 2, etc.) Cars was a needed change. It was wonderful sitting down to a movie that offered something a bit different. Don’t get me wrong, our family loves movies with goofy animals. But after laughing at and with Tow Mater for 2 hours, I was so glad I didn’t see a silly squirrel in the whole movie. Tow Mater was awesome. We all hope to see Tow starring in his own flick! Bring on the sequel!!!
With that said, Cars is a heart warming story of a race car called Lightning McQueen who is full of himself. Lightning stumbles off the beaten path of life, and onto the backroads of route 66. There, Lightning McQueen finds all the things he was missing in life because of his self-absorption: friends, beauty, and love.
I was very pleasantly suprised with the story. Yes, Cars had many, many funny parts (especially the tractor tipping, and Tow Mater), but the story itself is what shines like a diamond. Cars is a movie that will have you leaving the theatre changed, looking for love, beauty and cherishing what you have. I can’t give a movie any greater compliment than this. A must see, and must own children’s movie.
